Last night on the spur of the moment my brother james and I decided to go out fishing for abit as we hadn't for a short while, we ended up roving up a river nearby where we spent alot of time waiting but when the fish started to get interersted we knew it, we met up with one of james' mates (stu) who lived nearby and decided to tag along, first my brother had a barbel weighing in at 7lb 3oz which was really good for both of us to see, staright after james put his back my rod bent double as another barbel stripped line from my spool, fighting for about 4 minutes the barbel was landed, weighing at a slightly bigger 7lb 5oz which to beat my brother was a great feeling and to be honest both fish were perfect quality no marks or scratches. everytime i catch a decent fish barbel or otherwise i get over happy which is how i should feel when landing a fish like that!

catch up's
This post is a catch up of the most recent trips out with my brother (james) in where he takes me to different rivers in an attempt to better myself as an angler, (the picture below) shows a chub of 2lb 5oz which isnt the biggest i've had but at the same time, fishing has been hard and every fish counts. That we ended roving down a long stretch of river and having 1 fish each which shows how hard it was.

P.B BARBEL!!!
For so long ive been meaning to go fishing now for my own personal record breakers but only recently started the wheels turning most recently my personal best barbel weighing in at 7 lb 15oz caught on a thames tributry, as u can expect i was chuffed and decided this season will be a season for new best weights. To be fair i do have a great teacher in my eldest brother (James) whom in his own right is a keen and prolific barbel angler, for a while now he has been showing me the ropes and finally i can say the pupil is ready to school the teacher :)
